General Director, Dr. Sumait Hospital
Dr Sumait Hospital is a private non-profit institution founded by SIMAD University and Direct Aid, dedicated to excellence and social responsibility. We provide high-quality secondary and tertiary care through skilled staff, advanced equipment, and strict quality control.
We offer free treatments and surgeries annually to vulnerable populations, especially IDP camp residents, through Direct Aid-funded campaigns. We are also committed to training healthcare professionals in collaboration with SIMAD University, ensuring a smooth transition from academic to clinical practice.
Our staff are leaders in clinical care, education, and research, contributing to SIMAD’s top-ranking research output. We apply evidence-based medicine and conduct research to develop community-focused solutions.
We remain devoted to improving healthcare and education in Somalia and advocating for our communities with compassion and excellence.
