The article, titled “Beyond Coverage: A Pragmatic Path to Effective Eye-Care Coverage in Low-Resource Settings,” was authored by Abdullahi Abdirahman Omar from the Department of Ophthalmology, Dr. Sumait Hospital, Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, SIMAD University.
Published in Clinical Ophthalmology (Dove Medical Press – Taylor & Francis Group), the study aligns with WHO 2030 effective eye-care coverage targets, including effective cataract surgical coverage (eCSC) and effective refractive error coverage (eREC).
